Family Day Care is:

Personal:

  • Nurturing, home based environment. Offering small groups of children more individual attention.

Flexible:

  • Full-time, Part-time, Shift work, Overnight, Weekends, Emergency Care, Respite Care, Before and After School Care, Delivery to and collection from Kindy/School.

Safe:

  • Home Based Educators have - regular training, First Aid, references, medical certificates, insurance, car safety certificate, positive notice Blue Card, safe homes and yards, personal support and supervision by qualified Co-ordinators.

Affordable:

  • Family Day Care is an affordable option in our community! Fee subsidy available - Commonwealth Child Care Benefit (CCB)    

To ensure quality service is provided, Home Based Educator's (HBEs) are able to have up to four under school age children in care, including their own under school age children.

The size and space in a Home Based Educator's environment will also be taken into consideration when determining the number of children that a Home Based Educator can have.

The service is inclusive and offers care for children of all abilities and needs.

The service supports children's development al needs and cultural diversity. Children are able to grow, learn and contribute to their environment, surrounded by nurturing Home Based Educators and a supportive community.
